In order to respond to the worrying level of discrimination in the field of labor and employment in Serbia, the IDEAS Research and Development Center and the Regional Info Center are implementing a project to support companies to develop measures to include LGBT + workers and implement an anti-discrimination legislative framework. Also, the formation of a network of companies has begun, as a platform within which employers and company representatives can exchange practices of inclusion of LGBT+ employees and their positioning in this market.
The results of the “Dignity at Work” survey indicate that as many as 93% of LGBT + participants in the survey believe that the mechanisms of protection against discrimination in Serbia are not sufficiently developed to protect them from discrimination at work.
The project of support to companies for the development of measures for the inclusion of LGBT + workers and the application of the anti-discrimination legislative framework has just been developed in response to the results of research conducted by the IDEAS Research and Development Center and the Regional Info Center in 2018-2020. The project, implemented with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, aims to form a Network of Responsible Employers, as a platform within which company representatives can exchange practices of LGBT + employee inclusion, promote diversity through responsible business, set standards and define measures to take in order to protect the human rights of LGBT + employees. By working together with civil society organizations, companies and institutions, existing and future laws can become more than piece of paper. They can become a part of a better everyday life and restore dignity at work and a dignified life to members of one of the most vulnerable and most discriminated groups in our society.
Aware that the company’s reputation and success are directly linked to policies that include equality activities, and that we have a common desire to promote the inclusion of LGBT + workers, IDEAS and the Regional Info Center invite all companies to join the Network of Responsible Employers and engage in work on creating new values and improving equality policies that will ensure that LGBT employees are #Uveksvoji
Formiranje mreže LGBTI-friendly kompanija u Srbiji
Kako bi se reagovalo na zabrinjavajući stepen diskriminacije u oblasti rada i zapošljavanja u Srbiji, Centar za istraživanje i razvoj društva IDEAS i Regionalni info centar realizuju projekat podrške kompanijama za razvoj mera inkluzije LGBT+ radnika i radnica i primenu antidiskriminatornog zakonodavnog okvira. Takođe, započeto je formiranje mreže kompanija, kao platforme u okviru koje poslodavci i predstavnici kompanija mogu da razmenjuju prakse inkluzije LGBT+ zaposlenih i pozicioniranja na ovom tržištu.
Rezultati istraživanja Dostojanstvo na radu koje je sproveo Centar za istraživanje i razvoj društva IDEAS ukazuju da čak 93% LGBT+ učesnika i učesnica u istraživanju smatra da mehanizmi zaštite od diskriminacije u Srbiji nisu dovoljno razvijeni da bi ih zaštitili od diskriminacije na radu.
Projekat podrške kompanijama za razvoj mera inkluzije LGBT+ radnika i radnica i primenu antidiskriminatornog zakonodavnog okvira upravo je razvijen kao odgovor na rezultate istraživanja koje su sproveli Centar za istraživanje i razvoj društva IDEAS i Regionalni info centar u periodu od 2018. do 2020. godine. Projekat koji se realizuje uz podršku Ambasade Kraljevine Holandije, za cilj ima i formiranje Mreže odgovornih poslodavaca, kao platforme u okviru koje predstavnici kompanija mogu da razmenjuju prakse inkluzije LGBT+ zaposlenih, promovišu diverzitet kroz odgovorno poslovanje, postavljaju standarde i definišu mere koje kompanije treba da preduzmu kako bi zaštitili ljudska prava LGBT+ zaposlenih. Zajedničkim radom organizacija civilnog društva, kompanija i institucija postojeći i budući zakoni mogu postati više od hartije. Mogu postati deo lepše svakodnevice i vratiti i dostojanstvo na radu i dostojanstven život pripadnicima jedne od najranjivijih i najdiskriminisanijih grupa u našem društvu.
Svesni činjenice da su reputacija kompanije i njen uspeh u direktnoj vezi sa politikama koje uključuju aktivnosti kojima se podstiče ravnopravnost, te da imamo zajedničku težnju da unapredimo inkluziju LGBT+ radnika, IDEAS i Regionalni info centar pozivaju sve kompanije da se pridruže Mreži odgovornih poslodavaca i uključe u rad na stvaranju novih vrednosti i unapređenju politika ravnopravnosti koje će osigurati da LGBT zaposleni budu #UvekSvoji.
